Northern Railway Recruitment notification 2013 in total posts are 1473

Northern Railway Recruitment cell (RRC) is applications invited form eligible Ex-Servicemen (Ex-SM) who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below for filling up 1473 vacancies of erstwhile Group "D" in Northern Railway. This vacancy on employment will be adjusted against the vacancy originally notified on dated 30 August, 2012 for which examination is scheduled to be held later in the year. 3. Gateman (Operating Department): 35 posts
4. Khalasi Helper (Civil Engg., Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecom Department): 283 posts
5. Trackman (Civil Engineering): 771 posts
6. Carriage Cleaner (Mechanical): 171 posts
7. DSL Khallasi (Mechanical): 02 posts
8. DSL Cleaner (Mechanical): 10 posts
9. Khalasi Helper (Mech. (w)): 101 posts
10. Safaiwala (Medical): 07 posts
11. Khalasi Helper (Stores): 16 posts

Age limit: Age as on 1st July 2013:

1. For UR candidates are 33 years + extent of military service + 3 years.
2. For SC / ST candidates are 38 years + extent of military service + 3 years.
3. Fro OBC candidates are 36 years + extent of military service + 3 years. Only those Ex.SM who have put in not less than six months continuous service will be given relaxation in age limit to the extent of period of service plus 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria: Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of service and have passed Army Class-I Certificate or equivalent, or metric. The eligibility of the retired Defence personnel to the status of Ex-Servicemen is governed by the definition as laid down by Department of personnel and Training.

Pay of Exam Fee: Nil
Medical Examination: All candidates will undergo prescribed Medical Examination.
